In Daffodil Season there's always a reason to smile!

I am baaaccckk from all of my adventures...ready to serve...in my new found place of rebirth (15 days away will do that to ya) I feel like I've had a reboot...As we know when our phones get wonky we turn them off, give them a chance to pause and then presto, they reboot like new...well...that's how i feel now!

And of course we can learn to pause, even if only for one breath or 16 seconds of clarity and in those 16 seconds your nervous system gets a reboot...Try it!

Inhale through your nostrils for a count of 4

Hold the breath out for 4, (your belly can pop out so you can feel it) and don't try this if you are preggars

Exhale out your mouth for 4 and watch your belly go in

Hold the breath IN for 4...then notice if you feel any softening within yourself

It's important once you get the mechanics of this healing breath to start to WATCH the breath as you inhale, hold, exhale and hold again. That is part of the secret to finding the pause. Similarly if you are shifting into the calm sense within yourself

THEN Try just simply watching the breath and notice, WITHOUT YOU DOING ANYTHING, that there IS a pause after the inhale and after the exhale...Cool stuff right? It's ALWAYS happening, on it's own...the breath, your life's companion, your forever Valentine....it's always there to get you out of your mind and into your heart. Say THANK YOU to your life force known as prana, chi, qi...pixy dust, sparking energy...your aliveness in this very moment.

Namaste Breath, I bow to you

DAFFODIL SEASON

"In daffodil season there's always at reason to smile.

Look out any south facing window in our house and there's a sea of yellow heads nodding yes, giving their assent to the sun and wind, to mist and pelting rain. They wave and bob and bend like members of the best dance company the yard has ever seen, greenery and flowers stretching between earth and sky, their sheer exuberance teaching me all I need to know about blossoming."
